Fire crews rescue person trapped in mud
Fire crews were called out to reports of a person trapped in a riverbank earlier this evening.
Just aftef 5.45pm an engine from Bamber Bridge and one from St Anne’s attended an incident where someone had fallen into the river at Holme Road in Penwortham.
Firefighters say they rescued the person who was trapped in mud using a line.
