A teenager was hospitalised after he was found with multiple stab wounds near the Spar store in Leyland.

Police were called to reports of a robbery in Leyland Lane at around 11.20am on Tuesday (November 8).

A teenager was found with multiple stab wounds to his arm when officers arrived.

He was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment.

Police said his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

“Enquiries are ongoing,” a spokesman for Lancashire Police added.

The incident reportedly occurred behind the Spar store, with residents reporting a large number of police vehicles in the area.

Onlookers quickly took to social media to ask what was happening.

“What’s happened at the Spar at Leyland Lane,” one person asked.

One resident answered: “Just been. Police everywhere.”

Another added: “Police were everywhere and an ambulance and serious crime tape across the ginnel.”
